בנייר עמדה זה ברצוני להתמקד ביישום תיאוריות קבלה המתבססות על מחשבה פסיכואנליטית ותיאוריות הרמנוטיות על כוריאוגרפיה.

 

רקע כללי: הקשר לנייר העמדה

בחרתי כציטוט פתיחה מספר שורות מהראיון האחרון של ז'אק דרידה. ציטוט זה דיבר אל ליבי במיוחד. כמי שבחרה להקדיש לפחות את השנים הקרובות בחייה – ומקווה גם אחר כך- לעסוק בספרים, אסביר מדוע בחרתי להתחבט במקורות לא מילוליים.  בשנים האחרונות נתקלתי בשאלה מהותית: מה קורה כשאין ספר שנשאר אחרי המחבר? כיום ישנו קונצנזוס מקצועי שכבסיס למחקר חברתי, מקורות בלתי מילוליים יכולים להיות כר פורה לא פחות למחקר מאשר מקורות מילוליים. מתוך הכרה זו עולה השאלה: כיצד אנחנו מתמודדים פרקטית עם מקורות בלתי מילוליים, ובייחוד עם כוריאוגרפיה?  בנייר עמדה זה אבקש להציע שיטת מחקר המתבססת על המחשבה ההרמנויטית ותיאוריות קבלה בגוון פסיכואנליטי.

 

רקע : הרמנויטיקה

לא אכנס כאן למכלול הרקע הכללי של הרמנויטיקה.  אבקש להתייחס לאסכולת הרמנויטיקה כמתודולוגיה לגיטימית במדעי החברה, בייחוד כתגובת נגד לעליית הרציונאליזם וניסיון להכפפת טקסטים לפירוש אחיד על פי התפיסה של תבונה אוניברסאלית.

בתקופה שאחרי מלחמת העולם השנייה בעיקר, אנחנו נתקלים בשבירת  הצורך בחיפוש אחר אמיתויות אחידות ומוסכמות וישנה דרך נכונה "לקרוא" את העולם ולהגיע אליה. שבירה זו מביאה לעלייה ולחידוש הרלבנטיות  של אסכולות פילוסופיות רבות. אחת מהן היא הרעיון לפיו יש להחליף את הניסיון להשיל את הדעות הקדומות שלנו כדי להתייחס לטקסט כקוראים "טאבולה ראסה" ברעיון לפיו אותן דעות קדומות הן הנותנות פירוש אינדיבידואלי וייחודי לטקסט. (2 )

ישנו דגש רב על השפה, שאינה מהות נייטרלית אלא מעבירה היסטוריה ודעות קדומות אלו. יש כאן קירבה קונספטואלית למושג הארכיב שמפתח מישל פוקו* ולרעיון הפרדיגמה בפילוסופיה של המדע שמציג תומס קון**.

 

 שיחה מתאפיינת בפתיחת אופקים של שני בני שיח אחד לשני; קריאת טקסטים  דומה באופן מהותי. כל קריאה צריכה להתבסס על ההכרה ש:-1 הקריאה בהכרח משאירה שאלות פתוחות מאחר ואין אפשרות להגיע לידע אבסולוטי. 2- ידע מתקדם בצורה מעגלית ולא ליניארית. 3– ישנו ניכור בסיסי בין הטקסט לבין הקורא שאין דרך לגשר עליו לגמרי.  –4 כל קריאה היא חלק בלתי נפרד ממכלול הקריאות שקדמו לה וגם ממכלול הקריאות שיבואו אחריה. האחרון מתייחס לסמיכות של השפה להוויה בתפיסה ההרמנויטית.

מתוך כל הנאמר לעיל ישנה רמיזה למושג המעגל ההרמנויטי, מושג שטבע גדמר, שפירושו המעבר הבלתי פוסק מהפרט אל הכלל ומהכלל אל הפרט. מושג זה עולה הן מתוך תפיסת הזמן שמציעה האסכולה ההרמנויטית, שכפי שהראיתי לעיל, הינה בלתי ליניארית ומעגלית מטבעה, וגם מתוך התייחסות לפרשנות כאקט בלתי פוסק שלא ניתן לקבוע מתי הוא מסתיים. החריגה מהפרט אל הכלל ובחזרה היא תנועה שלעולם אינה פוסקת וגורמת למפרש להמצא בדיאלוג מתמיד עם הטקסט שהוא קורא.

המוקד המחקרי במסורת ההרמנויטית חורג מהטקסט המפורש ועובר לקורא עצמו, המפרש.

בכתיבתו של גדמר ישנו דגש רב על ההבעה הלא מילולית הנלווית לדיאלוג:"כאשר אנו מדברים ומאזינים, אנחנו קשובים למה שנאמר; ה"מה" עובר תמטיזציה. אבל איננו מודעים באופן מלא לאופן הדיבור ולדרך ההבעה אלא כאשר התקשורת מופרעת מסיבה כלשהי. למעשה, ככל שאנחנו מתמקדים בהבעה פר סה,( per se)  אנו פחות קשובים למה שנאמר. (3 ) התוכן עצמו אינו מכתיב כיצד יש להתייחס אליו.אני מבין את האדם העומד נכחי על פי האזנה למילותיו והטמעת הטון שלו והמבטא בקולו, ההבעה של עיניו ושעל פניו ושל פרצופו.“ (5)

ניתוח הרמנויטי מתייחס לאמירה כמכלול, המכילה בתוכה הן את התוכן הנאמר והן את כל מה שקיים סביבו: שפת גוף, אינטונציה, רמזים בלתי מילוליים וכו'. נקודת המוצא לכך היא הרעיון שדיאלוג אינו מתכונן בין הרבדים הלשוניים של הדוברים בלבד אלא גם בין הרבדים הבלתי לשוניים שלהם.

"הגעה להבנה משותפת, a common sense, תלויה בהשגת שפה בה בני השיח יכולים לתקשר." (6) הדוגמה של המתרגם, שצריך לגשר על הפער בין שפות, מראה בבירור את היחסים ההדדיים שקיימים בין המפרש והטקסט, המתאימים ליחסי הגומלין של ההבנה בשיחה. "שפה זרה שמתרגמים אותה היא מקרה קיצון של הבעיה ההרמנויטית, כלומר של ניכור וכיבוש” (7) . כלומר, שפה היא מטבעה הוויה שגלומים בה חילוקי דעות רבים.  היכולת להגיע להכרה של הבנה הדדית היא בלתי אפשרית א- פריורי. תירגום, מעבר משפה אחת למשנתה, מעיד בצורה מובהקת על בעייתיות זו.  השם lost in translation מעיד על בעיה זו; ביטוי נפוץ בשפה האנגלית, המאבד משהו ממהותו בשפה העברית…מתוך רעיון זה אבקש לצאת בהמשך להצדקה לניתוח הרמניוטי של מחול מתוך ההכרה כי כאשר אנו משליכים את היומרות להגעה לקונצנזוס או להבנה בהירה ונטולת מהויות זרות ומבינים כי אותן מהויות זרות נטועות בליבו של אקט הפרשנות, הרי רכשנו לנו כלי יעיל להבנה של מקורות לא מילוליים בממדעי החברה.

 

רקע: תיאוריות קבלה

בנייר עמדה זה אתייחס בעיקר לתיאוריות קבלה שואבות את מקורותיהן התיאורטיים ממורשתו של זיגמונד פרויד. התפיסה השאולה מפסיכואנליזה שוללת אף היא- בדומה להרמנויטיקה שנידונה קודם- את הרעיון שהשפה הינה מהות נייטרלית המשקפת את התהליכים הרציונליים שעוברים בני אדם. היא אקטיבית ומשתתפת בתהליך עיצוב האישיות שלהם ומושפעת מתהליכים לא מודעים העומדים בבסיס ההוויה האנושית. חלק גדול ממשמעות השימוש בשפה, וזהו המכנה המשותף בו אשתמש בנייר עמדה זה, הוא הדגש על המקום המכונן של המקבל, או הנמען, באינטראקציה עם טקסט. תורות קבלה שוללות את הרעיון שטקסט הוא מהות נייטרלית שיכול להיות מובן בצורה זהה במקומות שונים ובזמנים שונים. המיקום הסובייקטיבי של הקורא, ומבנה האישיות הספציפי שלו (כאן הדגש הוא הרבה יותר על מבנה אישיות ספציפי ולא רק על סיטואציה חברתית, לאור העובדה שהתיאוריה נובעת ממקורות פסיכולוגיים- פסיכואנליטיים ולא סוציולוגיים פילוסופיים..) מהווים גורם מכריע באופן הקריאה הספציפי שלו.

 תיאוריות אלו מצטרפות לתיאוריות הרמנויטיות, בהדגישן את הרקע של הקורא והשפעתו על עיצוב תפיסתו את הטקסט וקריאתו הספציפית אותו. הדגש המחקרי עובר מהטקסט והמחבר אל הקורא/ נמען.  הטקסט אינו יכול להיות מופרד מקיומו של המאזין. יש כאן תפנית אונטולוגית חריפה כאשר לאקאן מציב את השפה כבעלת קדימות אונטולוגית לסובייקט. זוהי תגובת נגד לתפיסת תנועת ההשכלה, שראתה את השפה ככלי שרת בידי הסובייקט הרציונאלי- אוטונומי השולט בה ומשתמש בה לצרכיו. היפוך אונטולוגי זה מביא גם להשלכות ערכיות, כאשר ניתוח השפה, הדיבור או הדיאלוג, הופכים חשובים יותר מניתוח הטענה, או צד אחד של הדיבור בלבד.  מבחינה מתודולוגית ישנו כאן מעבר חשוב של דגשים- מנתינה (של דיבור, של טקסט, של רעיון) לקבלתו.

תפנית נוספת שניתן לגזור מתוך תיאוריות אלו היא קטיעת הרעיון של התפתחות ליניארית בזמן. לפי לאקאן, אין מתן משמעות (signification) שיכולה להישאר אלא תוך כדי התייחסות למתן משמעות אחרת (8). מאחר והתודעה האנושית בהכרח אינה מתקדמת הרי שמתן משמעות או פרשנות הוא אקט שאינו נגמר, מאחר והוא תמיד מזמין אחריו מתן פרשנות נוסף. אינטראקציה אנושית מתווכת על ידי תהליך בלתי נגמר , שתמיד משאיר אחריו שיירים שלא יכולים לקבל משמעות מילולית. בפרק הזה אבקש לנצל חלק מהנחות היסוד ששטחתי כדי להמשיג דרך לניתוח של כוריאוגרפיה.

 

 

יישום מתודולוגי

השימוש בתיאוריות קבלה ובהרמנויטיקה לניתוח מקורות לא- מילוליים עונה על כמה בעיות אינהרנטיות העולות מאופי מקורות אלו. הפרדיגמה האנליטית, הרווחת בדיסציפלינות רבות וגורסת כי מחקר צריך להתבצע בדרך של ניסוח טיעונים קוהרנטים בעלי רצף לוגי בהיר, מקשה על שילוב מקורות לא מילוליים. כיצד ניתן לנסח טיעון לוגי מתוך ציור? האם רצוי לחפש רצף קוהרנטי בין עבודות כוריאוגרפיות? כמה ממאפייני יסוד של המחשבה ההרמנויטית ושל תיאוריות קבלה מהוות לטעמי דרך התמודדות ראויה עם מקורות אלו. בפרק זה אבקש לשטוח אותם ולפרט אופן יישום אפשרי.

  1. שלילת תפיסת זמן ליניארי ומעבר למעגליות- כפי שהצגתי לעיל הן המחשבה ההרמנויטית והן תיאוריות קבלה יוצאות כנגד תפיסה של התקדמות ליניארית, או קידמה. ההתרחקות מנסיון לשיפוט ערכי, תלוי סיטואציה היסטורית של המקורות בהם משתמש החוקר ומעבר לבחינה מדוקדקת יותר של המקור כשלעצמו
  2. במקורות לא מילוליים כמו במקרה המבחן- כוריאוגרפיה, תפיסת הקידמה היא לא רלבנטית. כל אמן מביא מאופיו הייחודי לצורת עבודתו, וזו אינה בהכרח מתקדמת יותר או פחות מהקודמים לו או הבאים אחריו. עצם הנסיגה משיפוט ליניארי ומעבר לבחינת כל מקור כלשעצמו מאפשרת התנתקות משיפוט ערכי  וניסיון לסדר בצורה היררכית את המקורות ומאפשרת מעבר לשיפוט כל מקור מתוך עצמו וביחס לעצמו.

            תנועה היא מעגלית מטבעה, המשכית ולא- ליניארית. תיאוריות שמכירות בכך שניתוח צריך להתנתק מפרדיגמות כאלו עשויות להיות שימושיות ביותר להבנת מגמות שונות ושינויים באופי כוריאוגרפיה.

  1. ההתייחסות למושג prejudice (הרמנויטיקה) מאפשרת ניתוח יצירות בלתי מילוליות מתוך העולם של היוצר (במקרה זה הכוריאוגרף). אין רצון לנתק את היצירה מעולמו של היוצר; לעתים תכופות ניתוק זה הוא בלתי אפשרי. כנגד הניסיון לנתק כל יצירה מעולמו של היוצר ולהתייחס אליה לגופה, חיבור זה מאפשר לחוקרים ממדעי החברה ללמוד על היצירות יותר ולהבינן מתוך העולם הפנימי של היוצר שלהן. כמו שנאמר בציטוט שהבאתי בראשית פרק זה, כוריאוגרפיה מקבלת את המשמעות שלה מתוך היחסים שלה עם הרקדנים המבצעים אותה, עולמם הפנימי, יחסם לכוריאוגרף, עולמו הפנימי, והאינטראקציה הייחודית שמתהווה מתוך עולמות אלו. הבנת מצב מורכב זה מאפשרת לטעמי הבנה עמוקה יותר של כוריאוגרפיה, לא רק כאקט ביצועי חד פעמי, אלא כתהליך דיאלוגי בין הכוריאוגרף לעצמו, לרקדניו, ולקהל- כאשר כל אחד מהם מביא עמו את המורכבויות שבאופיו ואת ההיסטוריה שלו.
  2. ההתייחסות הדיאלוגית (להלן: מיזוג אופקים) מאפשרת נתינת מקום ראוי לקהל בעבודה הלא מילולית. לעבודת אמנות אין משמעות בלי הקהל שיצפה בה; בניתוח של העבודה לגופה לעתים תכופות השפעת הקהל הולכת לאיבוד. האינטראקציה הייחודית הנוצרת מתוך מפגש של קהל ומופיעים ניתנת לתפיסה בצורה מובחנת יותר דרך מתודולוגיה הרמנויטית. מהותה של עבודה כוריאוגרפית מתהווה בשל קיומה מול קהל, על כן ניתוח ראוי שלה ייתן משקל רב לקהל, הנמען, בקיומה.
  3. ההכרה שכל קריאה בהכרח תשאיר אחריה שאלת פתוחות והניתוח מתוך מגבלות הדיאלוג ולא מתוך ניסיון להגיע להבנה אבסולוטית מתאים במיוחד למקורות לא לשוניים שכן באלו חוסר הבהירות (ambiguity ) חזק יותר מבמקורות לשוניים ותכופות היא מכוונת. היוצר רוצה שהפירוש האישי של הקהל יכונן את היצירה עבורו; שיטת ניתוח המתבססת על ההכרה שזהו חלק בלתי נמנע מההבנה תהיה יעילה ביחס לטענה הנ"ל. הניתוק מחיפוש תשובות אבסולוטיות והניסיון להשאיר קצוות פתוחים בכוונה מאפשר התמודדות אמיתית עם מטרות ורצונות היוצר, ועם התהליך שהוא עבר, כמו גם כאמור עם האינטראקציה הייחודית שהביאה להתהוות אותה יצירה.
  4. התייחסות לקריאה כמכלול וחלק מהוויה מאפשרת בחינה שלמה יותר של עבודה לא מילולית כגון כוריאוגרפיה; תכופות ניתוח קטע מיצירה או יצירה אחת מתוך רפרטואר של יוצר משאירה שאלות רבות סתומות. ההתייחסות ליצירה כמכלול חוויות ומאידך הבנה שמכלול זה לעולם לא יהיה שלם מאפשרת ניתוח שלם יותר (גם אם לא בהיר יותר). כל תנועת יד פשוטה היא חלק ממשפט תנועתי מורכב יותר, שהוא חלק מעבודה שלמה, שהוא חלק ממפעל חיים של כוריאוגרף. ההכרה במורכבות של יחסים אלו מאפשרת הבנה מעמיקה יותר של כל תנועה ושל המכלול הכוריאוגרפי.
  5. ההתרחקות של התפיסות הללו מנייטרליזציה של השפה, הבנת הטעינות שלה ונתינת משקל למה שהופך אותה למה שהיא כשפה, גורמת לכך שהמעבר מניתוח של לשון לניתוח של תנועה הוא חלק באופן יחסי. היות תנועה ישות אינדיבידואלית, המורכבת מהוראות הכוראוגרף, הנתונים של הרקדן והלשון ההבעתית שלו יחד עם ציפיות ואופי הקהל הופכת כל אקט תנועתי לחוויה חד פעמית, בדומה לכך שכל אמירה מורכבת מעולמו של הדובר, רצונו, התוכן שהוא רוצה להעביר יחד עם ציפיות המאזין. ההתנתקות מקונספציות של שפה כמהות נייטרלית שיכולה להוות תמונת מראה לתהליכים המנטליים העוברים על הדובר מאפשרת התקה לתפיסות רחבות יותר של שפה שכוללות גם שפה תנועתית.  
  6. שפת גוף ואינטונציה – כפי שהסברתי לעיל, הן תורות קבלה והן הרמנויטיקה מעניקות מעמד חשוב לשפת הגוף המלווה את הדיאלוג. עצם הנכונות לנתח רובד לא מילולי מאפשרות ליצור טרנספורמציה מתודולוגית לניתוח תנועה כשפה לכשעצמה.
  7. קדימות אונטולוגית של שפה- הן הרמנויטיקה והן תורות קבלה יוצאות כנגד האלהת הסובייקט, תפיסת האדם כמכונן את ההיסטוריה שלו ופועל עליה באופן רציונאלי ואובייקטיבי. אמנם תפיסת השפה כקודמת אונטולוגית לאדם, יכולה ליצור בעייתיות מסויימת בניתוח שאינו לשוני אך כאשר מעבדים את הטענה הזו לעומק מגיעים לכדי תובנה לפיה הצבת האדם כישות שניונית להבעה מאפשרת הבנה עמוקה יותר של תנועה, וראיית האדם ככלי שרת שלה ולא להיפך.
  8. מעגלי משמעות- תפיסת משמעות כמהות ה"נוזלת" בצורה המשכית, שלא ניתן לקטוע את התהוותה ולא ניתן להפרידה מתהליכים אחרים של הבנה ודיבור, מאפשרת הבנה עמוקה יותר של מקורות לא מילוליים שלא ניתן להמשיגם בצורת טיעון לוגי. תפיסת המשמעות כמהות נזילה ומורכבת מתאימה לניתוח מקורות בלתי לשוניים, שמטבעם אינם מספקים תשובה חדה ובהירה לשאלות העולות מתוך צפיית הקהל.
  9. המעגל ההרמנויטי- שיטת ניתוח העוברת מהפרט אל הכלל ובחזרה מאפשרת בחינה של דינמיקות פנימיות של עבודת אמנות בלתי מילולית, תוך התייחסות הן לפרטים המרכיבים את המכלול (למשל, הרקדנים, התנועות, המבנים, התפאורה, התלבושות, המוסיקה) והן כמכלול (חווית הצפייה בכללותה). מושג זה מאפשר הבנה מלאה יותר של יצירה שהיא יותר מסכום כל חלקיה.
  10. התפיסה של ניכור בסיסי במעבר בין שפות, שהקנה לנייר עמדה זה את שמו, נותנת לגיטימציה מלאה למעבר בין שפה לא מילולית לשפה מילולית. אם אנחנו מאבדים ממהות כל יצירה דרך תרגום, הרי שתרגום משפת הגוף לניתוח מילולי אינו נחות יותר מהמעבר בין אנגלית לגרמנית, או מסווהילית להינדו. הזרות הבסיסית שמאפיינת כל שפה כשלעצמה ויתרה מכך מעבר בין שפה לשפה, היא חלק גם מניתוח מקור לא מילולי דרך רשת קונספטואלית. בכל אחד מהמקרים הללו,  משהו אובד בתרגום, אך זהו חלק בלתי נפרד מחיינו ומהוויתנו.
